Missions Conference Begins

The Missions Conference began Wednesday evening with a great time of worship lead by the Riptide Praise Band. It was a special time for those of us who were part of it. It is obvious that God is at work among Riptide and I was thrilled to be a part of it.

Mike Jones, our speaker, gave a great demonstation of how the gospel has penetrated to the people of the world. We also got to know him by hearing how God called him to his ministry. He finished the evening with three stories of how God has worked in peoples lives to draw them to himself.

The conference will continue Friday at 6:30 with a catered dinner, a time of worship, and a time to hear from Mike Jones again. The chilren from grades 1 to 6 will be lead all weekend by Juda Mason of Unveiling Glory. The younger children will be watched by a girl scout troop (and their leaders), so that we can have as many of our people as possible in the sessions.

Please pray with me that God would use this conference to encourage our church to a deeper walk with Him and to better understand our part in building His Kingdom. And come this weekend ready to worship God.
